It is not a gain saying that most leaders particularly Africans who come in to public leadership within the secular leave so much to be desired. The issue is that the church other than the Roman Catholics put a deliberate effort to prepare believers for secular leadership.
Vey many Christian in secular leadership have the following among other things:
Loose fellowship and relationship with a spiritual mentor
No culture of mentoring their followers with an intention to hand over to the coming generation.
Hardly do they go to church except on festive occasions
Scarcely devote a small portion of their time and resources like money to kingdom spiritual activities like fasting, Bible study, prayers, pilgrimage to mention a few.
The Leadership Centre (TLC) is contributing to effecting the necessary change to this trend.
Our teachings and prayer network are keys to changing this trend.
Prophetic pointer:
Three years ago, The Lord spoke to me (Apostle Martins Atanda) in a vision that if and when He answers the prayers of the church in Nigeria and Africa, who are the leaders that will manage the redemption? Hence the need to focus efforts and resources to deliberate training of kingdom oriented leaders.
This is because the church rather than train believers for leadership, she had dreaded this field so that she prefers to fast and pray for the unbelievers who come in to leadership. She prefers to ask God to use those in darkness to transform the world than train those in the light to influence and impact darkness. The question is that, how many believers can withstand the darkness in leadership – bribery, occultism to mention a few? Today, our society clearly gives the answers to these question. The church has done little to deliberately train those who are strong enough to deal with the darkness in leadership and the world.
The Leadership Center, Abuja was started in October 2009 in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.
We are poised to provoke leadership developmental thinking in people who will work for the betterment of the African Continent and its people.

Considering the wealth of resources available in Africa, we are so burdened by the realization that we are too rich and too blessed to have the majority populace living in abject poverty.
We are not in conflict or competition but rather, we are in partnership with other organizations that are also seeking to improve human living conditions, which is of course is the cardinal reason why leadership is needed.

The Goal of the Leadership Center:
o This is a church that will affect everyone irrespective of age and culture, religion and status because it deals with leaders; and leaders affect every strata of humanity.
o This church is not for everybody except those who fall into these categories:
a. Those born with potential to lead.
b. Those who have recognized their leadership gifting or wanting to discover it.
o These two categories are seeking to process, prepare, nurture and present their gifting to be a blessing to humanity and creation. This church is a processing center for Leaders.
o We are making history, heaven is rejoicing and Satan is mourning
